Armed men hijack a New York City subway train, holding the passengers hostage in return for a ransom, and turning an ordinary day’s work for dispatcher Walter Garbe into a face-off with the mastermind behind the crime. | full synopsis
NOTES:
First off many thanks to Transformerz for supplying me with the dvdr
The source was interlaced, almost no colour and had a slight slanted black border across the bottom.
The sound was pretty good for a cam just a little low…
Now the ending was missing so i needed to use the subbed anton dvdr source for this part only.
There was also quite a bit of video noise aswell and now and again you hear a few laughs.
WORK DONE:
Well i sorted out the border by cropping it,then i needed to add a video noise reduction filter and scan it over a large area…
Once done it was a case of addng a contour and sharpen filter to many it that touch sharper and then it was onto the
normal filtering…….
The chroma i had to boost really high +184% i think it was, also needed to add alot of contrast and a touch of gamma and lum.
Slightly changed the rgb colours and also lowered the rgb black base to remove unwanted bright spots.
Audio i gave it a little boost and thats it.
Overall based on a cam v8.5 a7.5 m7.5………..Really nice looking cam with decent cam audio….more than watchable on my 32″ lcd and
would make a nice TS when direct audio comes available…..The film itself was pretty good aswell
One more thing i shall also be releasing a rip of antons subbed dvdr aswell…….It’s slightly sharper and as alot more colour, but is subbed
all the way through,IMO i prefer this version, but i’ll let you lot have a choice

NOTES:
Firstly i would like to thank the audio suppliers, too be honest not sure who did what otherwise
i would give a shout out to you….but you know who you are so thanks
Right sources…russian video,to be honest quite poor for a russian cam….too much red,too bright, missing footage.
Audio 1 not to bad for cam but nothing special at all…..but hey it’s better than nothing
Audio 2 slightly worse then the first i think due to the clipping on loud action scenes.
WORK DONE:
Loads
First thing was to filter the video…..changing the rgb colours, lowering the rgb black base also messed with the
chroma (reducing it) increasing the gamma, lum slightly and adding more contrast.
Also used a touch of video noise reduction and some contour filter.
Also i had to remove 20 sec on pure black screen half way through….didn’t see the point in keeping it
Will say now though this is missing 34 secs off the ending,20 secs pure black screen (removed) and about 1min at the
1hr 25mins 48 secs mark.
Then it was now onto to the audio …..for this i needed to fine the start and match it up and also needed to find the audio off
audio 2 to fill in the missing blanks…..In the end i decided to use audio 2 from the 1hr 25 min mark as it was easier to sync this way.
once done i joined by files together and then ran a noise reduction filter and also changed the EQ slightly…..hasn’t made a major difference,
but it’s better
After i stretched the audio to match the runtime of the russian video and then began to sync it….24 cuts later i finally got there.
Now there might be some slight oos in parts and if there is it won’t be by much and not for long…..just that some parts were hard to tell, due to
different reasons.
Overall based on a cam V6.5 A6 M7.5………Had no choice but to watch it due to syncing so i can tell you the movie IMO is pretty good, what you
would expect but left me with a feeling of “is that it”….thought it would be slightly better.
Onto quality….hmmm, well for a cam it’s more than watchable and it would be ok on your pc mon or a 22″ in the bedroom or something on those lines,
as for the audio…asn’t came out too bad considering sources and also as you ain’t got some wicked surround setup it will be ok to listen to,otherwise
forget it and wait for the r5 or above.
